Bikash Regmi

Bikash is a remarkable Family Nurse Practitioner and a dedicated adjunct Faculty member at the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute. His deep-rooted involvement in the community and an impressive list of awards attest to his outstanding contributions to healthcare and education.

In 2017, Bikash received the prestigious American Red Cross Hero Award, a testament to his extraordinary work and unwavering commitment to positively impacting people’s lives. This award reflects his exceptional dedication to the community.

His academic excellence is underscored by receiving the 2017 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence and recognition as the Star Student for On Point and the Clinical Excellence Award from St. Elizabeth’s College of Nursing. His role as the student representative for the Nursing Department Curriculum Committee at SUNY Polytechnic Institute showcases his commitment to shaping the future of nursing education.

Bikash had the privilege of sharing his insights, experiences, and expertise through a TEDx Talk at Syracuse University, a platform he used to inspire and educate others.

Recognized as the Outstanding Young Professional by the Genesis Group, Bikash’s dedication to his profession and community is commendable. Bikash’s leadership extends beyond his professional achievements. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for Child Care Solutions, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of childcare services. He has also provided valuable insights on the advisory board for Munson (formerly Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute). He has served on the Board of Directors for Hospice and Palliative at Utica, St. Elizabeth College of Nursing, and the Bhutanese Community in Syracuse.

His passion for healthcare was ignited during his time in a refugee camp in Nepal, where he witnessed the dire consequences of inadequate healthcare and a lack of primary care prevention. This experience fueled his lifelong dedication to healthcare, with a particular focus on primary care prevention. Bikash is well-equipped to manage chronic diseases, drawing from his extensive experience as a nurse aide, registered nurse, and Nurse Practitioner, with over a decade of expertise in the healthcare field.
